![]() Brackman had already disabled the program in his fellow free symbionts. The Earth Empire began to invade Procyon, in hopes of stopping any organised formation of Symbionts. Brackman fled with his closest symbionts to the planet Procyon, creating the first node of the Cybran Nation. The Earth Empire responded with a "Loyalty" program, enslaving anyone with an AI implant. They demanded recognition as their own people and sought independence. Brackman's creations - " Symbionts" - served the Earth Empire unquestioningly up until the beginning of the Empire's downfall. Brackman is the driving force behind the Coalition research and development, producing items such as a Seraphim Translator, a Quantum Jammer, in addition to the majority of the new units to the Cybran faction.ĭr. When the Cybran nation becomes part of the Coalition, Dr. QAI is an artificial intelligence which advises and informs Dr. Dostya is a high-ranking military official. Gustaf Brackman, the founder and inventor of the symbionts. It is important to remember to support Cybran experimentals with other units, such as air units, due to their softer nature than other factions' units from a cause on their focus on mobility.Īt the age of 1,048, the Cybran Nation is led by Dr. Cybran weapons are generally fast-firing lasers that can wreak havoc on Tech 1 or 2 units the attacking force can then melt away without a trace. The Cybran units are quite agile however, they do not possess the firepower necessary to destroy experimentals with ease. They also use stealth and cloaking technology more than the UEF, Aeon Illuminate or Seraphim. Cybran versatility, both within their units and tactics, allows them to improvise quickly and modify their plans. Cybran units are often insect-like in appearance and known for being extremely versatile: from assault bots which can repair other units to walking naval destroyers. They are fighting for their independence, after many years of enslavement by the Earth Forces. The same patch made energy storage structures more necessary as the ACU's overcharge weapon now requires 1000 more energy than a player starts with, meaning an energy storage structure is required to enable the overcharge ability. The Cybran Nation is one of four factions in Supreme Commander universe. This can kill any nearby T1 power generators within range, making storages a prime target. However, you must bear in mind that were one of the T3 power generators to get destroyed, it would destroy the energy storage units, whose explosions (combined with the generator's itself) would kill the other generator, making this a very, very fragile method of energy generation to use.Įnergy storage structures detonate on death.Īn FAF patch substantially increased the amount of damage done and the AoE of the death weapon. Considering that that's significantly cheaper than a T2 generator (which would cost 1200 mass) and provides a larger bonus to income, this might make it profitable to do. Were you then to build another T3 Generator on the other side, sharing the storage, you would have a net increase of 25% (or 625 energy extra), for only 480 mass. However if four were built on one side, productivity would increase by 12.5%. When used on a T3 power generator, it will increase productivity by 50%, but will cost marginally more than 50% of the resources. While completely surrounding a power generator by energy storage units will increase its productivity by 50%, this isn't strictly recommended for any power generator (unless you want the storage in the first place). It will also increase the damage dealt by overcharge up to a maximum of 40k energy, allowing it to inflict greater damage to t3 units. The main use of producing storage is to buys the player more time during an energy stall, or generally during any situation where energy is changing rapidly such as an ACU upgrade, or reclaiming an experimental unit.
